Hey there!  How’s it hangin’?  Gronnf yeah? If you didn’t read my last message you won’t know, but ‘gronnf’ means like ‘cool’ in Donkey.

Thought I’d better tell you what’s occurring here at TURN.  Basically it’s same old, same old ‘cause nothing much has changed!

We’re not seeing so many children as we’re used to ‘cause they can’t come here, what with this virus thingy and all, but we still see some children who come to see Caroline (she’s the lady that runs this place – makes sure we get food and water and nice clean bedding style of t’ing).  They can come if they’ve got particular needs and are on their own, so we still see people.  Plus there’s the young people who come to help out around here, cleaning out and stuff, so it’s never blurrh! (That’s donkey for ‘boring’)  PLUS, I get to hang out with my main man, Flynn, which is definitely gronnf!  It will be great when this virus thingy ain’t about so much and we can have children here properly again

Penny the Donkey

My mum, Penny, is still expecting her baby so I still don’t know if I’m going to get a brother or a sister!  Should be soon, though.

By then, there’s talk of me having my own pad to chill in ‘cause mum will have the new foal and I don’t want to be kept up all night by the baby.  I’ve got to get my zzzs in if I’m going to stay handsome and get to be big, strong donkey.

It’ll be gronnf to have my own place ‘cause like, well mum’s great and everything but she will treat me like I’m still a lickle foal when I’m not, I’m a colt and one day I’m going to be a Jack (that’s a grown-up male donkey).

You remember last time I said there were some stories about me and mum in the new book called ‘Waggy Dog Tales’?  Well, loads of people bought it for Christmas, which is great ‘cause all the money from the books goes to buy our food and bedding and t’ing.  Thing is, it ain’t just a Christmas book, you can read it any time.  I can’t, obviously, ‘cause us donkeys don’t read, we’re far too busy for all that, but Caroline and Flynn says they make great bedtime stories for children who like animals – and who doesn’t like animals, eh?  Caroline says she’ll put an email address at the end of this blog so you can get in touch about the book, if you want to.

Well, I think that’s all for now.  If you want to send me a message, that would be gronnf!  There’ll be an email address for that below, as well as the one about the book.

Keep gronnf and don’t be blurrh!

If you want to send me a message, you can email me at enquiry@turneducation.co.uk.  Don’t worry, Caroline will read it to me.

If you’d like a copy of the book, ‘Waggy Dog Tales’, email your name and address to wag@philwhiteland.co.uk saying how many copies you want and we’ll get back to you asap (I don’t know what that means but I reckon it means pretty quickly!)
